Hey there, we’re Justin and Jen Potter, the husband-and-wife duo behind Justin Potter Photography, based in Quincy and serving Boston, New England, and beyond.
What began as Justin’s passion for landscape and motorsports photography has grown into a full-time creative partnership capturing weddings, elopements, sports portraits, and lifestyle stories throughout New England. From the sidelines of a local field to a coastal golden-hour wedding, we work side by side to tell your story with authenticity and artistry.
Our style? Grit meets heart. Energy meets emotion. Whether it’s capturing the intensity of a Sportrait under the lights or quietly documenting a tearful first look, we’re always searching for the real, fleeting moments that define your story.
Justin’s background in motorsports and landscape photography taught him how to anticipate the split second that matters, while Jen brings an infectious warmth that instantly puts people at ease. With her background in marketing and management, she keeps our creative world running smoothly behind the scenes.

Meet Justin
Photographer. Racer. Visual Storyteller.
Born in the mountains of Colorado and raised in Northern California, Justin’s connection to the outdoors, adventure, and motorsports started early. With a camera in one hand and a wrench in the other, he grew up traveling the drag racing circuit alongside his mom, a freelance photographer, before eventually stepping behind the wheel himself.
By 20, he had claimed a local short-track championship and moved to North Carolina to pursue a career in racing. He became one of the top body fabricators in NASCAR, shaping race cars with the same precision and attention to detail that now defines his photography. But over time, road trips to racetracks slowly became road trips into the mountains, along coastlines, and into the landscapes that reignited his creative passion.
What began as documenting travel and adventure with a Canon camera evolved into a full-time career built around storytelling, atmosphere, and authentic human connection.
Today, based in Quincy, Massachusetts and inspired by the rugged character of New England, Justin’s work blends cinematic emotion with a deep appreciation for place, weather, movement, and light. From dramatic sports portraits and adventurous weddings to quiet coastal mornings and landscapes shaped by atmosphere, his photography is rooted in capturing moments that feel honest and alive.
His imagery has been featured by Canon USA, Mobil 1, Monster Energy, and major publications across the country. In 2023, he documented Kevin Harvick’s farewell NASCAR season and led photography for Stewart-Haas Racing, bringing together the same passion for storytelling, speed, and emotion that first inspired him years ago.

Jen brings the warmth, energy, and connection that make every session feel relaxed, genuine, and enjoyable. With a background in marketing and management, she has a natural ability to make people feel comfortable and seen, something that becomes invaluable the moment a camera comes out.
Whether she’s calming nerves on a wedding day, helping guide couples naturally during a session, or catching the small in-between moments that often become favorites, Jen helps create the atmosphere that allows authentic moments to unfold.
What started as joining Justin on road trips, races, hikes, and photography adventures gradually turned into a true creative partnership. Over the years, she became an essential part of both the experience and the storytelling behind Justin Potter Photography.
Today, Jen helps lead everything from client communication and planning to creative direction and behind-the-scenes support during shoots across New England and beyond. Her calm presence, attention to detail, and love for people bring balance to the adventurous, creative spirit that defines our work.
When she’s not keeping the business running smoothly, you’ll usually find her exploring the coast, planning the next road trip, or making sure the dogs are spoiled wherever the adventure takes us.
